The options below will be limited to two students per year, starting on the second year of the program.
ADVANCED STANDING OPTION – MASTER OF DIETETICS STUDIES
This option is for students with a Bachelor of Science degree who have fulfilled all Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) requirements from a CADE accredited program and are only seeking a Master of Dietetics Studies (MoDS) which is equivalent to a dietetic internship. Students entering this option must have equivalent coursework to the BS Program in Nutrition and Dietetics offered by the UT Health Science Center and a DPD verification statement from a CADE accredited program. Other courses may be required as recommended by the Program Director and admission committee. This option is limited to two students per year.
Students with a BS in Nutrition (non-DPD) or other disciplines must have transcripts evaluated to determine the individualized needs for additional coursework to meet the program prerequisites and all the mandated CADE requirements for the Coordinated Program in Dietetics. This may require a three year track option. For more information contact the department.
